 +The GARF has two [[https://statearchive.ru/380 | reading rooms]], which are located in different parts of Moscow. Most of the China files are stored in Reading Room 1. The archives contain more at least one thousand China files, mostly on Sino-Soviet cooperation (in the field of culture, politics, technology) from 1930s to 1960s, as well as reports on China's relations with other countries (during and after the Split)[[http://opisi.garf.su/default.asp?base=garf&menu=3&search=818059| Archives search engine]] is available only in Russian. It is important to note that you can work with documents only after five-seven days after the archives receives your request, so it is recommended to plan your visit in advance. As in all Russian archives, it is only allowed to photograph files from the screen. Since most of the documents are stored in paper form, it is necessary to write a special application for photographing (one page costs about 40 rubles). It takes about a week for administration approval of the application. After that it is allowed to make a photocopy .
